The American League East division leading Tampa Bay Rays were in town Tuesday night to take on the Oakland Athletics. The Rays are having a great year despite the team having several serious injuries to key players. Oakland has been struggling as of late and looked to Gio Gonzalez to pick them up a much needed victory. He did just that when the A's beat the Rays 2 to 1. Gonzalez picked up his first major league victory by allowing only one run in five innings pitched. Brad Ziegler pitched the ninth inning and picked up the save. He talked about making his scoreless streak look real easy, "I'm glad it looks that way, because it sure doesn't feel that way."
