Yankees sweep Oakland
The Oakland A's played their final game in the historic Yankee Stadium on Sunday losing in a close one 2 to 1. Andy Pettitte picked up his eleventh win of the season shutting down the A's line up. "It's kind of the same old story -- the pitchers throw good and the offense isn't doing well," second bagger Mark Ellis said. "We're striking out a lot, I know that. I think guys are aware of it, though, and I think that just adds to the problem. So if you go up there and just try to have good at-bats, it will probably take care of itself." Seems to be a hint of frustration in Ellis' voice as he was 1 for 3 with a sacrifice bunt and a strike out in the game.
