Independence Day

The Oakland A's blasted the Chicago White Sox with 17 hits and the victory 7 to 1 on Friday. The A's were treated to a great pitching performance by the A's Joe Blanton who only allowed one earned run in seven innings pitched. Emil Brown was 3 for 5 with two rbi's and Jack Cust hit his 15th home run in the 4th inning. Mark Ellis was 0 for 2 with four walks.
