Oakland picks up a game in the West

The Oakland A's used fifteen hits and nine runs to beat league leading Los Angeles Angels on Friday night 9 to 2. It was the A's pitcher Sean Gallagher's Oakland debut. ''It's been a little crazy, a little hectic,'' Gallagher said. ''I had to pack up all my stuff in Chicago and bring it all here. I'm just trying to get acclimated to this area ... but it's been fun.'' The A's picked up a game on the Angels in the standings.
Mark Ellis was 1 for 3 with two runs scored.
