Series finale goes to the Sox

The Chicago White Sox capped a split of the four game series with the Oakland Athletics by winning 4 to 3 on Sunday. A.J. Pierzynski summed up his feelings after going 8-2 during their home stand in Chicago, ''It's huge. We played well against three pretty good teams. ... Oakland's a good team. They're not going to go away. They don't quit. They're young. They might not have the big names, but they've got some good players.''
Mark Ellis was 1 for 5 with an rbi.
