Ellis gets tossed?

The Oakland A's handed the Florida Marlins a 7 to 1 loss on Sunday. In the bottom of the 7th inning, Mark Ellis was ejected from the game after throwing his helmet and making a jester of distaste for the called third strike by the umpire. Oakland A's manager Bob Geren rushed to Ellis' defense and was also ejected from the game. "I think it was more of a miscommunication," Geren said. It was the first ejection of Ellis' career.
Mark Ellis was 3 for 5 with 2 runs scored.
