The Oakland Athletics pulled out another one run victory over the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday night, winning in eleven innings 5 to 4. Two nights in a row Oakland has used clutch hitting to get a late run for the victory. Last night, Jack Cust hit an infield single allowing Kurt Suzuki to score the winning run. The Tigers were hunted by walks allowing 10 in the game. Manager Jim Leyland after the game, ''The walks killed us. Their walks burned us. We should have scored 10 runs. We can't make the mistakes we made and win major league games.''
Mark Ellis was 1 for 5 with a walk batting lead off for the A's.
