Texas handed the Oakland A's a one run loss 4 to 3 on Friday night. The A's got 3 runs in the 4th inning but couldn't score late when they needed it. The A's were very sloppy defensively tallying four errors. The second bagger Mark Ellis had the night off, until pinch hitting in the bottom of the seventh inning. He was 0 for 2 on the night.
