Cincinnati Reds top prospect Jay Bruce took center field for first time as a major leaguer on Tuesday night. He has been tagged by some as the top prospect in all of the major leagues. In his debut he was 3 for 3 with 2 runs scored, 2 rbi's, and 2 walks leading the Reds to a victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates 9 to 6. We will have to wait and see if Bruce can live up to all the hype.
I will be following the Oakland A's second baseman Mark Ellis throughout the 2008 MLB season. Additionally, I will give the highlights and lowlights from the second base position throughout baseball history.
