Ellis out for a few

Mark Ellis strained his left hamstring on Sunday running out a double and is being held out of th Tuesday night game against the Indians. "He's officially day-to-day," A's manager Bob Geren said before the opener of a three-game series against the Indians at Progressive Field. "He got treatment today. He doesn't feel too bad."
