The one run games
You want an easy way to see how your year went? Simply look back and see how many one run games you win or lose. With the tight pennant races we've seen in recent years, teams that grind out wins any way they can whenever they can, can make the difference between seeing the post season or going home early. Oakland got a win like that last night, holding off a late Royals charge and winning 6 to 5. Second baseman Mark Ellis was 2 for 4 with a run scored and a walk.
